smartspokes strives to design its website in accordance with digital accessibility standards and to continuously improve it.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

Although our company is not subject to the Barrier-Free Access Act (BFSG), digital accessibility is an important concern for us. As a provider of subtitling and other accessible services, we want to continuously align our website with WCAG 2.1 at compliance level AA.

Orientation Towards Standards

We are guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at compliance level AA.

Measures Implemented

  • Website language: The main language is correctly defined as German.
  • Heading structure: Logical hierarchy for improved orientation.
  • Alternative texts: Descriptive alternative texts for informative images.
  • Contact options:
    • Book an appointment: Fully accessible by keyboard.
    • Call: Direct tab navigation to the phone number possible.
    • Contact form (accordion): Fully keyboard accessible, clear focus indicator.
  • Navigation: Clear and consistent page navigation.

Known Limitations

The following areas are currently being reviewed and improved:

  • Color contrasts: Some color combinations may not achieve the recommended contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text.
  • Keyboard traps: There are currently no known keyboard traps. However, if you encounter any navigation problems, please let us know.
  • External content: Embedded content from third-party providers (e.g. YouTube videos) is subject to their accessibility standards.
